TRANSPORTATION COSTS:

Factors involved in transportation: Distance, Vehicle type

1. Distance:
   

   The distance from Hyderabad to Bangalore is roughly 600 km. On an average, only transport costs per km is around  ₹ 28.5 per km
   
   Basic Math: 600 x 28.5 = ₹ 17100

2. Vehicle Type:
   

   Do you want a Dedicated or Shared truck?
   
   A dedicated truck would make a faster and safer delivery but involves to pay complete transport cost. We recommned to opt for a dedicated truck if you have a 2 BHK, 3 BHK or more
   
   A shared truck carries the load of 2 to 3 households and may take longer time for delivery and safety at risk. But tranport cost would come down betwen ₹ 8000 to ₹ 4000.

LOADING COSTS:

Loading is done by the professional staff of the packers and movers. These are the people whose faces will be seen at your house and who engage in loading, packing of all your household items. Each person generally charges around ₹ 600-700.

PACKING COSTS:

Considering the quality of roads, mechanics of the transport vehicles and handling of your load (in your absence!), it is better to make a safe assumption about not to compromise on the quality of packing of your household items. Packing material generally includes fabric sheets, cellotape, corrugated sheets, thermocol, air bubble sheets, foam sheets, stretch wrap films, corner guards etc.

As you are planning to shift your house from Hyderabad to Bangalore, safety and damage precautions are paramount and I will strongly recommend you to opt for quality packing.

Coming to the basic math of our problem, a decent quality packing can be roughly monetized as ₹ 10-12 per cft (cubic feet)

After knowing the basic tangible costs involved in your move, you should be aware of the extra costs that will/ may be levied on the final bill of your move:

1. Profit margin:

   This changes with the brand value of the packer and mover, level and quality standards that ranges from 15%-50% of their costs.
   
2. Insurance:
   
   It is advisable for you to consider this option to avoid losses due to road accidents, damage to goods during transit. If not insuring whole household stuff, I recommend you to at least insure valuable goods. Generally, it will cost you 3% of the declared goods value. Most packers and movers make insurance as mandatory.
